NSS-8 Nanoscale Conference in Chicago

The International Workshop on Nanoscale Spectroscopy and Nanotechnology (NSS) is a biennial meeting series to share the information on latest research advances of science and technology in the nanometer regime. The scope includes electronic, optical, magnetic, mechanical and transport properties of nanoscale systems and nanoscale devices, as well as nano-manipulation. From July 28 to 31, 2014, the 8th NSS workshop took place in Chicago’s Gleacher Center. Saw-Wai Hla and Volker Rose served as Chair and Co-Chair of this prestigious conference which attracted participants from 15 different countries.

The SXSPM team contributed the following oral talks:

  • Nozomi Shirato, Low-temperature synchrotron X-ray scanning tunneling microscopy (LT-SXSTM).
  • Marvin Cummings, Synchrotron X-ray scanning tunneling microscopy (SXSTM) at the Advanced Photon Source.
  • Daniel Rosenmann, Smart MIM Tips for Next-Generation X-ray Scanning Tunneling Microscopes.
  • Benjamin Strip, Nanoscale computed tomography reconstruction with overlaid 3D quantified fluorescence.
