The Advanced Photon Source
a U.S. Department of Energy Office of Science User Facility

X-Ray Science Division (XSD) Visitor Program

The XSD Visitor Program hosts expert scientists at the Advanced Photon Source (APS) for short stays of 2-3 months. The goal of the program is to establish long-term scientific collaborations and/or begin to lay foundations for new scientific initiatives.

Interested candidates should submit:

  • A 1 page proposal detailing the work that would be accomplished during the visit
  • An endorsement letter from the XSD staff that will be hosting the visit
  • A proposed budget for the stay
  • Updated Curriculum Vitae
Current Visiting Scientists
The XSD Visitor Program is not taking applications at this time.
