Researchers have demonstrated an approach for accelerating catalyst discovery that could help address the problem of iridium scarcity. The team created and screened a catalyst “megalibrary” that enabled them to identify a promising ruthenium-based catalyst that rivals the performance of top iridium ones in a single afternoon.
