Hero Text

Manganese (Mn) oxides play crucial roles in ecosystems and environmental processes. Cobalt (Co) frequently co-occurs in Mn minerals, where it binds to Mn oxides, becomes oxidized itself, and incorporates into layered Mn oxide structures over time. Now new findings shed light on how Co-incorporated Mn oxides form in the natural environment and their application in environmental processes.
