Chemistry, Materials Science, Physics

20-ID has been substantially modified during the APS-U dark period and is now a 'long' beamline with it's final endstation sited in the Long Beamline Building. The x-ray optics are optimized for high-energy x-ray usage with a high-energy-resolution and several focusing modes available. It is also known as the 'High-Energy X-ray Microscope' (HEXM).

Special Capabilities
Note specs are calculated values assuming APS-U 'brightness' mode, 200mA ring current and a 3.5m-long and 1.65cm-period superconducting undulator. Beam size is at a distance of approximately 180m from the source (20-ID-E end-station). These specifications will not be fully valid during the startup of the beamline, which could last ~year.
