Magnonics is a highly promising solid-state technology utilizing quasiparticles called magnons. Scientists have demonstrated a mechanism for controlling magnon behavior in thin films deposited on various transition metal oxide substrates. The results indicate a pathway for tuning magnon behavior that could lead to practical magnonic devices.
