What are DOIs? |
Definition: A unique, persistent identifier (or PID) assigned to a digital object. A DOI provides a permanent link to the digital object, which ensures durable findability. APS is generating DOIs to document an award of beam time. APS publication acknowledgements must include DOI(s). Information in the award DOI includes: Lead Investigator: Name and Institution
|
How do I use my DOIs? |
Include Digital Object Identifiers (DOIs) in the acknowledgements section of your publications. The beam time award DOI number(s) should be included in hyperlink format. If multiple DOIs are referenced, include them in the acknowledgement. Example award DOI format: https://doi.org/10.1000/### APS Acknowledgement Statement: “This research was performed on APS beam time award(s) (DOI: <add beam time award DOI hyperlinks>) from the Advanced Photon Source, a U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) Office of Science user facility operated for the DOE Office of Science by Argonne National Laboratory under Contract No. DE-AC02-06CH11357.”
