Beamline 29-ID focuses on intermediate energy resonant scattering and electron spectroscopy of condensed matter systems. Its energy range extends from 250 to 2500 eV using the first harmonic, and up to 3000 eV using higher harmonic. It is equipped with two end-stations, one for angle-resolved photoemission spectroscopy (ARPES) and another for resonant soft x-ray scattering (RSXS) studies. The ARPES instrument has a highly focused x-ray beam (30um x10um), variable temperature (T=6-300K), and a Scienta R4000 electron analyzer. The RSXS instrument has a Kappa diffractometer with variable temperature cryostat (T=20-300K); it operates in the horizontal scattering plane with a spot size of 375um x 100um.
