Description

We will present Sydor Instruments' products and tech development roadmap for direct x-ray detectors. A brief overview of our suite of products may be found on our website (https://sydortechnologies.com/sydorinstruments/). Sydor is known for providing custom solutions for unique customer requirements. At the presentation, we will provide an overview of our current capabilities and discuss our roadmap for Diamond Beam Position Monitor, X-ray Strip Detector, and the Fast X-ray CCD detector. Sydor is working in collaboration with top national laboratories to develop novel x-ray detectors. We are currently developing two commercial products –a camera for the direct detection of soft x-rays (i.e., SpectroCCD) as well as a fast-framing hybridized x-ray imaging detector (i.e., Keck-PAD). The SpectroCCD provides direct detection of soft x-rays for resonant inelastic scattering experiments. With pixels that are 5 μm x 45 μm, it offers ultra-high position resolution 5-10x better than current state of the art.The Keck-PAD offers single x-ray direct detection at frame rates of ~7 MHz and with a dynamic range exceeding 10^3 x-rays/pixel/frame. It is ideal for irreversible or single-shot experiments in the 8 keV-25 keV regime. Both of these products are in early development stages. We are actively taking individual beamline requirements into consideration as we continue to enhance designs. Help us develop a product you need by becoming active in this development program.
