Description

COMSOL can give unique linkage between matlab, JAVA, C, C++ codes. Moreover, you can model your PDE equation with its custom equation capabilities. This software can do ODE, Montecarlo (in few cases), optimization; and web application of your model so that any person with limited knowledge about simulation can utilize the model.

The following multi physics topics will be covered.

Electromagnetics, Vacuum Molecular Flow, Particle Tracing, Heat transfer and solid mechanics

Overview of software tools for modeling:

  • Capacitors, resistors & inductors; magnets, coils & solenoids; motors & drives; transformers & sensors
  • Electromagnetic waves simulations for antennas, waveguides, cavities & filters; metamaterials & frequency selective surfaces; scattering and far-field calculations; photonics & plasmonics; nonlinear optics
  • Particle tracing in electromagnetic fields
  • Molecular flow and vacuum systems
  • Conduction, convection and radiation
  • Linear & nonlinear materials modeling; contact analysis; shells, membranes, beams and trusses; mechanisms; fatigue & creep
  • Coupling of physics, such as thermal stresses, fluid-structure-interaction

This is a full day event. Please RSVP at your earliest to reserve a seat and to get COMSOL software before hand; lunch will be served by COMSOL.

Bring your own  laptop (preferably charged) with COMSOL installed on it (usually COMSOL sends you passcode for download and installation after registration and a couple of days before the event)
