6-ID-D: High-energy Scattering

6-ID-D is a high-energy branch line in sector 6. It uses a 2.3cm undulator as its x-ray source. It is primarily used for condensed matter physics studies of single crystals and disordered materials using 2-D detectors, but also accommodates general diffraction measurements utilizing high energy x-rays. These include PDF and powder diffraction in a variety of sample environments.
