 Hi,
I have extended EDM to handle the protocol that we have here at
Fermilab. This allows me to get values and see them update. When our
equivalent of an IOC fails values stop updating and turn white like what
EDM does with EPICS' PVs. So far so good. However, when our "IOC" is
returned to service the values start updating again (good) but do not
turn back to the original non-white color (bad). In one unfortunate
case we end up with white on white text.
Originally the values did not even update after our "IOC" was returned
to service. Thanks to tech-talk I was given the hint to make use of
do_conn_state_callbacks() to give EDM connection state information.
With the hint I got values to resume updates but not return to non-white.
Any hints about what I am missing? Just a reference to the routine
within EDM that draws the value on the screen would help speed up my
reverse engineering of the API for extend EDM's protocol capablitiies
would help, so that I could determine what I need to be doing.
