Hello,
I recently ported my Epics application from version 3.13.8 to
3.14.8.2. So I forgot to call
<appname>_registerRecordDeviceDriver(pdbbase)
in the startup script. This caused a strange and to my opinion
misleading error message from dbLoadRecords:

db_parse returned -1
value = -1 = 0xffffffff = ipAddrToAsciiEnginePrivate type_info node +

The strange looking characters in front of "BaseCmdHmLock" seem to be
interpreted
as UTF-8 unicode characters on my terminal but are in the end garbage.
Aside from this,
the error message doesn't give a hint what the error really is.
Is this problem known or is it fixed in a newer epics release ?
