The XML-RPC library for C/C++ has been a pain in the eyebrow. The ChannelArchiver comes with specific versions for Linux in general as well as OS X _plus_patches_ that allow us to pass a wider range of 'double' type values. Other versions have slightly different APIs and/or include files, as you see, and that would require changes in the archiver sources. The fact that xmlrpc-c-config gives an incomplete "-I$(prefix)/include" looks wrong enough to me to not even try to make the Gentoo setup to work, and instead just use the xmlrpc-c-0.9.9.tar.gz that comes with the archiver sources. -Kay On Mar 16, 2007, at 11:01 , David Dudley wrote: OK, missed something in the manual, I guess. Under Gentoo, I have installed: dev-java/xmlrpc = version 1.2_beta-r1 dev-libs/xmlrpc-c = version 1.06.03
