Subject: How to install edm-1-10-1m with base-3.14.6 on linux-x86?

Hello,

To install EDM I have done the following:
- Installation of OpenMotif, zlib, libpng and giflib
- Creation of a directory "extensions"
- Running the script makeBaseExt.pl -t example in the directory "extensions". This produces the directories "configure" and "src" and the files "Makefile" and "README".
- in the directory "src": tar xvf edm-1-10-1m.tar
- in src/Makefile added: DIRS += edm
- in configure/CONFIG added: CROSS_COMPILER_TARGET_ARCHS = linux-x86
- in usr/include: the link "X11 -> ../X11R6/include/X11" already exists
the link Xm -> ../X11R6/include/Xm created

If I invoke "make" I get the following error message:

:~/EPICS3/extensions/src/edm> make
Makefile:12: ../../../config/CONFIG_EXTENSIONS: No such file or directory
Makefile:14: ../../../config/RULES_DIRS: No such file or directory
make: *** No rule to make target `../../../config/RULES_DIRS'.  Stop.
:~/EPICS3/extensions/src/edm>

Please can someone tell me what I did wrong?
Do I have to change in all Makefiles in all subdirectories of "edm" the include
statements to
"include $(TOP)/configure/CONFIG" and
"include $(TOP)/configure/RULES" like in the Makefile of example?
