Subject: Extended talker/listener support in LanGPIB Version 2.4?

We've downloaded and installed lanGpibSupport-2.4.b.tar.gz. The package
built and installed with no problems. We are now able to communicate
with several different GPIB devices here using the HP2050 GPIB/LAN
gateway.

We have a problem, though. We'd like to use the HP2050 to control an
HPE1406A GPIB VXI controller. This controller is an extended
talker/listener and thus requires a secondary address before it will
communicate. How can this be done?

My guess is that there needs to be a change to the:
        sprintf(devName, "%s,%d", hpGatewayName, gpibAddr);
in hpCreateDevLink, but I don't know what the change would be.

I also am unclear how the secondary GPIB address would be specified in
the EPICS database.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
