Dear All,
Does anyone use SGL encoder with CAMAC serial crate controller in
EPICS environment?
We use camacLib.c from LANL in EPICS. We use Hytec CAMAC serial
highway driver and L-2 CAMAC Crate controller equipped with a SGL encoder.
On SGL encoder, you can patch 24 LAM signals to create SGL code ( 5 bits).
SGL code is sent to the serial highway driver as a part of a demand message
when LAM is activated.
camacLib.c, as I understand, uses SGL code as a slot number and clear LAM
on the slot where SGL code indicate.
Since you can program SGL encoder as you like, the slot number of the
module in LAM status may diffrent from the number SGL code indicate, however.
So, I'm wondering if anyone in EPICS collaboration other than us uses a SGL
encoder and how they maps SGL code to the slot number which is in LAM status.
Thank you,
Noboru
