Hello folks,

We are in the process of rebuilding all APS extensions
using the new beta10 base release on a Solaris machine.
Most extensions were built successfully. Here are some notes
we have on the build.

1. We encountered the "const is a keyword in ANSI C" problem
in the cau and snaps extensions. Jeff has the fix for it,
however it is not available yet.

2. We had to add the following line to the CONFIG file
   UNIX_INCLUDES += -I$(EPICS_BASE_INCLUDE)/os/$(T_A)
to get the new os dependent includes.
We encountered the problem first when trying to build alh,but it
may affect other extensions. The error message was
   "cannot find include file: "osiSock.h"

3. We commented out the following line in ar/arrtk/arr_tk.c
"#define DB_TEXT_GLBLSOURCE" to fix the multiple include problem.

4. Following extensions are no longer supported:
snaps, xmca, xmseq, gvxi and math.

5. The extension stripTool is replaced by the extension StripTool.

6. The orbitscreen tool is replaced by adt tool

The extensions we built successfully with beta10 are -
