At CFHT we have developed support for the GreenSprings IP OCTAL 232, 422, and
485 serial I/O modules. The code is built but largely untested (we
expect the hardware RSN...). Systems based on this interface will be on
the telescope by Feb '97.

We use Andrew Johnson's drvIpac for managing the carrier board (VIPC
610) and the actual driver for the SCC 2698 UARTs is strongly
based/ported from the drivers in HiDEOS (Thanks, Jim!).
