Here at SLAC we are working with a new RTOS (soft real-time)
As the development continues forward, I hope it approaches hard-real time.
RTLinux is a commercial product from Wind River, is that what you're using?
If not you should pick a different target name. I'm aware that there is an
Open RTLinux license available for academic, research and free software
projects, but that's using the same code as the commercial product.
We are not using the product from WRS.
So, we will propose a different name.
How about "linuxRT-x86" and "linuxRT-ppcP2020" ?
We are proposing the following name in<BASE>/configure/os
CONFIG.Common.rtlinux-x86
CONFIG_SITE.Common.rtlinux-x86
The above is support Intel-based targets.
Another target we have is a freescale P2020
CONFIG.Common.rtlinux-ppcP2020
CONFIG_SITE.Common.rtlinux-ppcP2020
Will these targets be using the standard Linux OS_CLASS or do they require
their own versions of the OS-dependent files under src/libCom/osi/os?
We are using the standard Linux "OS_CLASS"
Cheers,
Ernest
