I had to comment out cap5 for several cross linux architectures. (which

I build as "HOST" architecture in order to have caget and friends.) Also

if the compiler you use to build EPICS is not the one that was used to

build perl you get into trouble.

Do we really need cap5 in EPICS base? I would like to see it in a

separate module.
