We are using CAMAC for "slow" controls.

Ethernet -> Agilent E5810A  GPIB -> KS3988 CAMAC Crate Controller.

This is neither serial nor parallel CAMAC highway; it is GPIB.
Originally, this was used with LabVIEW and lately I have created an EPICS device driver
which is sub-classed from asynPortDriver class.
