 Hi Charles,

I already know this BOY functionality. It's true that my request
wasn't quite clear. My aim is to make as simple as possible for
Spiral2 operators and developpers. What could be simplestthan a click
? I have already written a JavaScript that forces an external window
open when the user simply clicks on the button. I thought that it
could be simpler to add an action property to force an external open.
I think the option to open an OPI in a new window should be used wisely, because too many windows will use too much system resources and it is very hard to manage them.

Optionally, you can also open an OPI in a View and then you can "detach/undetach" the view by right clicking the view tab and select "detached". See /BOY Examples/4_Actions_1.opi

I've a other question for you Xihui. Is it possible to prevent the use
of "Opi editor" when the CSS/BOY is in the runtime compact mode ? In
this way the users haven't access to the development tools. They can
only use the "Opi runtime" and can't exit this mode.

There is a BOY preference "No-Editing Mode". You can enable it to prevent opening an opi in opi editor.

 Thanks,
 Xihui

Hi Xihui,

Thanks for all of your answers. I tested the function of "No-Editing
Mode" and "Start application window in compact mode", this is what I
expected.

Our working group is in contact with people in charge of application
development for ITER. We 're identifying our common need about CSS/BOY.
I'll contact you in a few weeks.

Thanks again for your availability
