Hi,
I am subclassing EDM's ProcessVariable to support some custom DAQ. I
provide an implementation of ProcessVariable's pure virtual method
is_valid in my subclass. When I return false though the EDM display of
the PV in error stops updating which I expect. However it leaves the
old data on screen instead of crossing/graying it out or removing it and
putting a white rectangle in its place. So the user is not aware that
the data is no longer current. This is not expected. What is going
on? How does my subclass communicate to EDM the error in such a way
that EDM will communicate the error state to the user? Thanks for any help.
Sincerely,
Carl Schumann
