Hi all,

  This is true. We build the entire Storage Ring Schneiders PLCs from XML files out of our source repository.

  By the way, the XML files thenselves are generated from Excel spread sheets, files exported out of UnityPro
itself and files gnerated by a bespoke program that processes a 'simple' text file.

I am pretty sure the Australian Synchrotron uses the XML files with the Schneiders, so they can keep the source code in a conventional code management system.

Any reason why you excluded Schneider from your evaluation? If I'm not mistaken, their Unity programming software (which we don't use for historical reasons) uses XML files.
