Hi all,
I may be interested in using the Permissive record,
but I don't understand everything from the record reference manual
about how to make it processing:
The record manual (Client-server Parameters section of the permissive
record) says that when WFLG is ON (th record is ready), the client
program must not turn VAL to on. So I wonder what is the normal way of
triggering the processing of this record ?
Currently the client will be me behind the IOC shell.
I use release 3.14.9 release, I've read the following from Andrew in the
thread :Re: "DISP and permissive record"
"It has not been converted to R3.14 to my knowledge, and I'm not aware
of anyone who is actually using it. There have been at least a couple
more recent records designed for vaguely similar activities such as the
APS runControl record and the CAD/CAR/SIR records from Gemini and
Observatory Sciences"
Is this still true ?
What are the APS runControl record and the CAD/CAR/SIR records and where
can I find them ?
Regards.
