Are the gpib driver installed in the kernel module
directory? /lib/modules/<kernel_version>/gpib
Did you load the gpib drivers? ( you have to modprobe something. If your
card is supported by linux-gpib, which drivers should you load?)
Finally you need to configure the modules in /etc/gpib.conf (that is
where you specify the interface name LO)

asyn doesn't include GPIB support by default.
I believe you need to set the LINUX_GPIB to yes in the asyn RELEASE
file. Please refer to the asyn docs.
