Hello,
The record reference manual says a record name is "An arbitrary 28 character record name supplied by the application developer" but we know that the " ", ".", and "&" characters don't work...what is the allowed character set for EPICS record names, or alternatively, the set of disallowed reserved characters? We are trying to interface another system (i.e. with different data naming conventions) with epics/channel access.
many thanks,
Judy, et al
