"rediscoverd" within a large scale collaboration) -
The February 2003 posting generated a discussion on the use of
PUTF under the "Bi-directional PV" thread, however, a search
on PUTF places the first mention of this technique on
17 September 1998 by Fritz Bartlett (FNAL). Also note the
suggested use of "dbGetFieldIndex".
