Thanks for the replies regarding extending MBBO.
In my case I have a digital multimeter with 22 input channels. I wanted an
medm screen with 22 radio buttons, so one and only one could be pressed at
once. There does not seem to be a simple way to do this.
My solution was to have 3 MBBO records:
- channel_range selects "1-10" or "11-22"
- channel_1 selects "Ch1", "Ch2", ... "Ch10"
- channel_2 selects "Ch11", "Ch12", ... "Ch22"
There is an medm menu for channel_range that is always visible and selects
channel range 1-10 or 11-12. Depending on the value of that menu item,
radio buttons for channels 1-10 or 11-12 are visible. They occupy the same
location on the screen.
In my case the logic for the channel_1 and channel_2 MBBO records is done
using an SNL program, but a database could be used as well.
This solution works fine, and occupies less screen real estate than 22
buttons anyway.
Thanks,
Mark Rivers
