Look in 3.13 under $(EPICS)/base/src/cas/example. Jim will
be adding an additional example to the cas directory
in the next beta release of 3.13. The CA gateway might
server as a more complex example (when it is ready for release).

So far we have compiled on the following platforms:
sunos4 {sun pro C++, GNU C++}
solaris {sun pro C++, GNU C++}
windows{NT,95} {MS vis C++} - no little endian support in gdd
HPUX {GNU C++ - native compiler has not been tried}

The "gdd" self describing data class library does not yet
support little endian architectures. Otherwise all little
endian support is in the server library.

I am close with multi-threaded/vxWorks specific portions of the
code but this may be held up for a few months while other
higher priority activities are completed (this is mostly a matter
of making the library thread safe).

We are working on the doc.

Jeff
