Andy reported back that I should upgrade to SNL 1.9.1.
Having done that, the problem is slightly different but
still does not work correctly. (That is, setting pj:debug1 = 1
allows output for task "test1" and not for task "test2" _but_
setting pj:debug2=1, with pj:debug1=0, does not allow any output
from either task.)
The problem still is not fixed by using SNL 1.9.1.
I think the flaw is with SNL
(or an incompatibility with SNL 1.9.1 and EPICS R3.12.2).
