Pete,
I suspect that you may not be using the "recursive" option. Without
it, all state-program variables are simply statics and are therefore
shared between instantiations. With it, each instance has a private copy
of all variables. To set it, either use the "+r" flag to the "snc"
command or else add the line
option +r;
to your state program.
While on the subject of SNC, the only feedback that I got on my
posting a few weeks ago about "syncQ" (queueing form of "sync") was from
Andy Kozubal, who said that he thought it was a useful facility. I am
proceeding with implementation of this facility and hope that the result
will be accepted back into standard EPICS.
