I ran into a build issue with vxWorks 6.3 regarding WIND_HOST_TYPE.
The patch you provided works provided there is no definition
WIND_HOST_TYPE in "CONFIG.<EPICS_HOST_ARCH>.Common"
Specifically, I had to remove the WIND_HOST_TYPE definition in
CONFIG.linux-x86.Common and CONFIG.linux-x86_64.Common
By removing the setting from those files you are just using the value of
your WIND_HOST_TYPE environment variable. If you unset that, it'll stop
working again, which is not a desirable outcome.
The problem is that make doesn't know the value of $(VXWORKS_VERSION) at
the point where I'm using it. I can solve one use easily, but I'm going
to have to talk to Janet about the other. Luckily I think I can debug
it fairly easily without having vxWorks 6 installed, since it appears in
the compiler path that is the first thing actually run in a vxWorks 6 build.
Once this issue is resolved, I'll be tagging R3-14-9-pre2 (we're only
just over a week late).
