I ran into a build issue with vxWorks 6.3 regarding WIND_HOST_TYPE.

The patch you provided works provided there is no definition
WIND_HOST_TYPE in "CONFIG.<EPICS_HOST_ARCH>.Common"


Specifically, I had to remove the WIND_HOST_TYPE definition in 
CONFIG.linux-x86.Common  and CONFIG.linux-x86_64.Common
