Title: Update from the Life Science X-ray Scattering (LiX) beamline at NSLS-II

Abstract: The LiX beamline is a micro-beam capable instrument dedicated to experiments on biological samples, with its construction and operation jointed funded by NIH and DOE-BER. The beamline started supporting user experiments in 2017 and we currently support two major types of experiments: solution scattering and microbeam scanning scattering on biological tissues. I will describe the optics and endstation instrumentation, as well as the software for controls and data processing, that support these experiments. Our development benefited from the work by NSLS-II Controls group and the expertise of our MX colleagues. But our experience also raises the interesting question of what is the best approach to maximize the impact of the limited resources we have.
