Hi Pierrick,

we have a LabVIEW based sub-system (running NI real time OS, like you) using "official" NI EPICS support described here:

http://www.ni.com/white-paper/14144/en/

The drawback is that the published PV are missing some properties (e.g. EGU). We solved the issue by adding a softIoc with a DB with a fully qualified PV populated by the value retrieved by the LabVIEW PV using this pattern (and the other way round):

As suggested by Mark Rivers in this thread:

Regards,

Luca

Hello Pierrick,

your LabVIEW expert is right. CaLab has native libraries which are not suitable for real time OS.

Best regards
Carsten Winkler (developer of CaLab)

Dear tech-talk,
Can someone clarify if there is a caLab library that can be used to build a labview vi
for a real time OS?  My labview expert has read somewhere that caLab is not
compatible.
Thank you,
Pierrick
