I'm not familiar with arget, but could it be that in this case PREC < -log10(ADEL), and 
they really are different values?

It depends. Some things aren't supposed to change but you
may still want to know whether they got archived (implying
that they got read out, which in our case sometimes they
don't, which is also a problem).
