Last October I sent this message to tech-talk.  I now have an Amptek detector, and am about to start writing an EPICS driver for it.  Before I start I want to make sure that no one else has done this already?

Thanks,

Mark

I still don’t know of any driver for this detector.  There have been at least 6 inquiries about EPICS drivers for this device on tech-talk since 2008.

It would not be hard to write a driver.  I don’t have such a device, so I can’t do it, but I would be happy to offer advice and help to anyone who wants to write one.

drvMcaRontec.c in the mca module on github can be used as a good example.

Dear Mark,

This is Wenming Qin from Shanghai Synchrotron, China. I searched for information about the amptek X-123SDD detector mca driver on epics tech-talk, and found you have discussed this issue with Paul Martin from Austrailian Synchrotron years ago. We have a X-123SDD at our beamline, but we cant control it with epics system. Do you have any information about which beamline using this detector or how to integrated this detector into epics. Thanks very much!

Best Regards,

Wenming Qin
