$ caget -F '$' V:1-SR:C30-MG:GIRDER1{QH3:2981}Fld:I
V:1-SR:C30-MG:GIRDER1{QH3:2981}Fld:I$-1.75394
$ caget -F '$$$' V:1-SR:C30-MG:GIRDER1{QH3:2981}Fld:I
V:1-SR:C30-MG:GIRDER1{QH3:2981}Fld:I$-1.75394

I am not sure whether I like to have that.
Is there any specific reason to introduce it?

I see the expected space with 3.15.3 and 3.16.1.

What do you see if you run the following?
