EPICS PVs disconnected in CSS BOY despite access through caget

Subject:	PVs disconnected in CSS BOY despite access through caget

I am attempting to get a transferred EPICS project working.  The IOC proper seems to be working, and I can access PVs through caget.  However, when I try to access those PVs through CSS BOY, the PVs are all label "Disconnected", including the push buttons.  What might be causing this?
