Elmer,
You may be able to do something by using the Close Parent Display
check-box of a Related Display button. Assuming you have a parent screen
that brings up the dialogue box screen, the dialogue screen can have a
related display button which points to the parent but has the Close
Parent Display option checked, which then acts like a close button for
the dialog.
Not claiming it will work perfectly, but it seemed to do the right thing
when I played with it just now.
