Thank you all for your help, Seems like the problem was permissions issue because I started the "sampleStartup.sh" script as "sudo" and the status is now being archived. I will run
it for few days to store some data and test data retrieval. Best Regards, Abdalla Ahmad Control Engineer SESAME Allan, Jordan. Tel: (+962-5) 3511348 , ext. 265 Fax: (+962-5) 3511423 Mob: (+962-7)88183296 From: Wang, Lin [mailto:[email protected]]
When I was deploying Archiver Appliance one month ago, I encountered the same issue and I finally found the root cause was that I brought up Archiver Appliance with non-root user,
however, the default STS/MTS/LTS paths in the generated sampleStartup.sh script were as follows, which were not writable by non-root user without "chmod" configuration, thus Arcihver Appliance cannot create PB files. After setting STS/MTS/LTS path to a writable
directory, the issue was gone and the state can transfer to "Being Archived". export ARCHAPPL_SHORT_TERM_FOLDER=/arch/sts/ArchiverStore export ARCHAPPL_MEDIUM_TERM_FOLDER=/arch/mts/ArchiverStore export ARCHAPPL_LONG_TERM_FOLDER=/arch/lts/ArchiverStore
