Hi Martin,

for PSI (SwissFEL project) we have developed a simple stream device based device support for a similar spectrum analyzer (DSA875), I believe that device support should be compatible as the main difference is in the bandwidth.

You can find the device support here: https://github.com/paulscherrerinstitute/RigolDSA875
Note however that it is currently packaged for PSI build system (based on driver.makefile) so you might need to repackage it if you want to use it with EPICS build system.

The repository includes:

 - stream device protocol file: https://github.com/paulscherrerinstitute/RigolDSA875/blob/master/cfg/dsa875.p

 - startup script snippet: https://github.com/paulscherrerinstitute/RigolDSA875/blob/master/startup.cmd

 - database templates: https://github.com/paulscherrerinstitute/RigolDSA875/blob/master/SpectAnly.subs

 - caQtDm GUI: https://github.com/paulscherrerinstitute/RigolDSA875/tree/master/qt

 - small asub that generates X-axis (used for GUI plots): https://github.com/paulscherrerinstitute/RigolDSA875/blob/master/src/calcXAxis.c

The development of this device support was sponsored by PSI who is also the official maintainer, however we (Cosylab, as original developers) are available to answer any further questions.

Best regards,
Tom Slejko
