Dear All,

procServ V2.6.1 has been released. [1]

The most prominent improvements will be visible on Windows/Cygwin:
* The console command window that was left open is now properly hidden.
* Killing and restarting now works with child processes that spawn more
  (grand-)children (e.g. Java applications).

Other improvements:
* Buffer overflow vulnerabilities have been fixed.
* Log timestamps now work properly on connections that use no line
  buffering.
* Socket options have been fixed to make sure no two instances of
procServ run on the same port.

Full change log available at
https://github.com/ralphlange/procServ/releases/tag/V2.6.1

Thanks a lot to Freddie Akeroyd, Mark Rivers and Alireza Panna, who were
contributing code and testing time.

procServ is part of the official distributions of Debian/Ubuntu (as
"procserv") and Fedora/RHEL (as "procServ"). New versions usually take a
few days to get into their respective repositories, but will eventually
be available using the standard package managers.

Enjoy! Pull requests welcome!
~Ralph

[1] procServ is a wrapper application that runs any process (e.g.
a softIOC, a CA Gateway, an archive engine...) in the background,
allowing telnet access to its stdin/stdout.
It supports logging, child restart (manual or automatic on crash/exit),
blocking characters that are considered dangerous to the child, and
much more.
