The crt.o file is normally found in the glibc-devel package, but I'm
surprised you managed to get this far without having that package
installed. The only way I can think that could happen is if you have
installed the 32-bit (i686) RPM, but you are building a 64-bit (x86_64)
version of medm. Make sure that the RPMs you have installed are for
x86_64 and not just for i686 — my system has both installed, e.g.
tux% rpm -q glibc-devel
glibc-devel-2.12-1.192.el6.i686
glibc-devel-2.12-1.192.el6.x86_64
