Are you running a 32-bit or 64-bit version of Linux?  You are building the 32-bit version of EPICS (linux-x86).  If you have a 64-bit Linux system it is possible that you are missing some 32-bit libraries and you should do the following

export EPICS_HOST_ARCH=linux-x86_64

Then you will be building for 64-bit EPICS.  See if that also gets an error.

You should send the complete output when you build in the autosave directory

make clean uninstall
make

Hi,
  I have copied synapps_5_8 under '/opt/epics'.
epics-base is already build under /opt/epics/base-3.15.3
msi is under /opt/epics/extensions/src/msi1.7

When I am trying to build synapps with areaDetector by using 'make' command
I am getting following errors.

/opt/epics/synApps_5_8/support/autosave-5-6-1/lib/linux-x86/libautosave.so:
undefined reference to `_dl_sysinfo'
/opt/epics/synApps_5_8/support/autosave-5-6-1/lib/linux-x86/libautosave.so:
undefined reference to `__syscall_error'
collect2: error: ld returned 1 exit status

I am new to linux and could not get any suggestions from google.
Please help me
