You can't.

CSS BOY and the Data Browser are display tools.

They show the current state of the control system.

They do allow you to push buttons and enter new values for PVs, but they don't "do" anything on their own.

If you want a data acquisition system, that should not be implemented in the display tool, because what happens if somebody closes the display -> No data saved? Or somebody opens two displays -> Same file concurrently written twice and thus corrupted?

Check the EPICS scan record, area detector, .. for data acquisition.

Or implement something basic via the EPICS sequencer.
