We use a lot of AVT Mako cameras which are similar to the Point Grey BlackFly cameras but a little more expensive. We decided on these because we seemed to get less dropped frames with the AVT cameras than the BlackFly when using the aravisGigE EPICS support module. Mark's ADPointGrey support module didn't exist when I tried out the BlackFly so I haven't compared them using the manufacturer's SDK.
Thanks,
Tom
