You are using the RS232 interface, but it might be good to ensure that
your driver works with RS485-connected devices on a shared bus. I'm not
sure what the standard Asyn way is of doing that, but you may have to
include the ADR command in the Stream protocol as part of every command
(since some other record that addresses a different device may get
processed in between sending your command strings). Mark Rivers' answer
may be a better solution for the RS232-only or non-shared RS485 case.
